Vodafone Increases Tariffs
August 2008 | Company News AlertUK mobile operator Vodafone has announced that call charges will rise by between 25% and 50% from September. The company, one of the largest mobile operators in the world, issued a revenue warning in July, putting particular emphasis on the struggles facing its UK and Spanish operations. The operator is not the first to increase prices in the UK market - market leader O2 and T-Mobile have already increased tariffs. The price hikes come as the economic downturn in the country begins to affect operators' revenues, but will also affect their customer base at a time when prices are rising for basics such as food and fuel.
