Nextel Focuses On Latin American 3G
August 2008 | Company News AlertWireless and push-to-talk (PTT) operator Nextel has said it will increase investment in 3G technology in order to improve its standing in the four Latin American mobile markets in which it operates. The operator currently offers services in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Peru as well as owning spectrum to offer services in Chile. The company is looking to take advantage of the stream of 3G launches seen across the region in 2007 and the first half of 2008. The operator is the smallest in each of its markets, but its focus on postpaid corporate customers enables it to record the highest ARPUs and sustain revenues.
