ETB Looks To Triple-Play For Growth

One of Colombia's leading fixed-line operators, Empresa de Telcomuncaciones de Bogotá (ETB) is preparing to launch triple-play services. The company, along with peer Emcali, applied for information regarding the TV operator's register for five broadcasting licences that have become available. The two operators are the last of the country's major fixed-line operators not to have entered the Colombian television market. Offering TV services marks a significant opportunity for ETB as it faces a tougher market and two large international rivals.
