Telecom Egypt To Invest EGP1.8bn In 2008

Telecom Egypt, the incumbent operator, plans to spend EGP1.5bn (US$285mn) on network investment during its 2008 financial year, according to local press reports. No further details of how it intends to use its capital expenditure have been released, although BMI expects this will centre largely on its internet and mobile operations.
