Telefónica And France Telecom Report Q208 Results

Two of Europe's largest telecoms operators have announced their Q208 results. Spain's Telefónica, that country's market incumbent, saw a 1.2% year-on-year (y-o-y) increase in revenue for the first six months of the year, while French incumbent France Telecom experienced a 3.9% y-o-y increase in revenues. Both operators have expanded rapidly outside their home markets, with operations across Western and Eastern Europe as well as Africa (France Telecom) and Latin America (Telefónica).
