Terra Gains Exclusive Olympic Games Rights

Latin America's largest internet service provider (ISP), Terra, has acquired exclusive rights to broadcast the 2008 Olympic Games live over the internet in Latin America, the company announced in a press statement. The games will be available over Terra's 18 Latin American portals, which include Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Argentina and Colombia. The broadcasting centre will be in São Paulo, Brazil, with retransmitters across the region and local multimedia studios set up for live commentator input. Terra estimates that it could reach more than 1mn simultaneous users in Brazil alone.
