mCel To Invest US$70mn On Network Improvement

Mozambique's mobile market leader mCel is to invest US$70mn on improving its network infrastructure as it awaits the deployment of 3G. Greater network coverage together with improved quality of service (QoS) will be built around the launch of 110 new base stations, bringing the total to 200, by the end of this year. By 2009, the operator aims to have 100% population coverage.
