Orange Brand Launches In Niger
July 2008 | Company News AlertFrance Telecom has announced the launch of its mobile and internet services in Niger under the Orange brand. The capital Niamey, as well as four other cities, Zinder, Maradi, Birni-N'Konni and Tahoua, will receive Orange Niger's services initially, before being rolled out to other parts of the country. The operator was awarded a GSM licence in November 2007, after paying EUR48mn (US$75.87mn).
