US operator Verizon has launched a triple-play service, bundling mobile voice, high speed internet and pay-TV. The new package bypasses the traditional combination of broadband, pay-TV and a fixed-line connection, which operators have been using to maintain their fixed-line subscriptions in the face of increasing defection to mobile services.
