Nextel To Launch 3G Over CDMA Platform
June 2008 | Company News AlertPeru's smallest mobile company, trunking operator Nextel, has said it will develop its 3G network using CDMA technology and intends to select a vendor for its launch by the end of 2008. Nextel intends to launch a CDMA2000 EV-DO Rev A network that will be compatible with its existing iDEN-based services. The operator is also considering offering high-end prepay services, increasing its target market. Nextel already offers postpaid services to corporate subscribers through its push-to-talk services in Peru's largest cities.
