Telefonica Has Deal With Apple To Sell iPhone

Telefónica has reached a deal with Apple to sell the iPhone in 12 Latin American and two European markets. This follows a recent agreement between Latin American mobile market leader América Móvil and Apple, whereby that operator will also sell the iPhone across its markets. Telefónica is currently the exclusive seller of the handset in the UK and Ireland, where it has had considerable success. América Móvil and Telefónica will launch the handset on July 11 in their respective home markets, Mexico and Spain, before deploying the handset across Latin America.
