Excelcomindo Tower Sale Freezes
May 2008 | Company Finance AlertThe auction of Indonesian operator Excelcomindo's mobile phone towers has come under scrutiny after a Reuters report suggested that changes in the country's foreign ownership rules and mixed messages from the operator had caused concern among bidders, mainly involving private equity firms. Possible bidders interested in the US$800mn auction are said to include Affinity Equity Partners, Blackstone Group, Carlyle Group, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co and TPG Capital.
