Ziggo To Buy Orange Dutch Cable Broadband Assets

Cable-based multi-play service provider Ziggo has agreed to buy part of the fixed-line broadband internet business inherited by T-Mobile Netherlands when it acquired its rival Orange in Q407. Ziggo says that it will buy cable plant and related assets and approximately 140,000 cable broadband subscribers served by Orange Netherlands, although it has not said how much it will pay for the business nor when it expects the deal to be closed.
