BT Reaches Second Agreement With Mobile Operator
May 2008 | Contract NewsMobile operator O2 and fixed-line incumbent BT have announced a new managed access agreement linking O2's base stations with BT Wholesale's national network. The deal is the second for BT, which signed an agreement with Vodafone in April 2008 to connect that company's base stations with BT's 21st Century Network (21CN) allowing it to increase its mobile broadband offerings. O2's deal with BT will also see it take advantage of the 21CN-enabled Ethernet network, helping the mobile operator achieve cost efficiencies for providing faster broadband services.
