América Móvil To Bring iPhone To Latin America

Latin America's largest mobile operator, Mexico's América Móvil, has signed a deal with US electronics manufacturer Apple to be the distributor of the latter's iPhone in the region. While its deals in the US and in certain European countries have been exclusive, Apple has not confirmed if the deal with América Móvil will exclude offering the handset on other networks. In markets where the iPhone has already been launched involve the company takes a portion of the revenue generated from the use of the handset, but there is, as yet, no confirmation whether this is the case in the América Móvil deal.
