Orascom Posts 21% Rise In Regional Subscribers

Egypt-based telecommunications holding company, Orascom Telecom, has announced a 21% year-on-year and a 5% quarterly rise in the number of mobile subscribers it serves in Africa and the Middle East. Excluding its now-divested operations in Iraq, the annual increase would be just over 34%. On the back of the rising number of subscribers, the company has posted a 24% y-o-y increase in net profit.
