CANTV Launches Prepay Broadband
May 2008 | Company News AlertState-owned incumbent CANTV has announced the launch of a prepay ADSL broadband plan aimed at bringing broadband services to low-income groups. Using its existing ABA brand, CANTV has launched a 256kbps service, including 100MB of downloads per month. CANTV, since its renationalisation in April 2007, has made headway in extending the reach of its basic services, expanding its fixed-line network and introducing price cuts in order to make services more affordable.
