Nokia Siemens Networks Wins Oman Mobile Contract
April 2008 | Contract NewsNokia Siemens Networks has won a contract to upgrade 90% of the mobile telecoms network of Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel). Reportedly, the contract is worth between US$80mn and US$90mn and will focus on the replacement of most of the operator's mobile base stations and core connectivity platform. The work will take approximately 18 months to complete.
