ETECSA To Invest In Fixed Infrastructure

The Cuban News Agency has reported that monopoly telecoms operator ETECSA will invest US$250,000 to improve the company's fixed-line infrastructure. The investment will be focused in the south central province of Cienfuegos. The announcement comes days after the operator, which provides fixed-line, mobile and internet services, said it would allow Cubans to apply for prepaid mobile services in their own names.
