Tiscali Looks At Strategic Options, Sale Possible
April 2008 | Company News AlertItalian internet provider Tiscali has appointed two financial advisers to advise the company on its strategic options. The move comes as increasing consolidation is occurring across the more mature telecoms markets in Western Europe, and Tiscali is rumoured to be preparing for a take over by a larger rival. Around 10 companies are said to be interested in Tiscali's UK unit, while five are thought to be interested in its Italian operations, including incumbent Telecom Italia, although Tiscali has stated that it has received no formal offers.
