Türkcell Considering Belarus Expansion

When announcing Türkcell's results for 2007 at the end of February, CEO Sureyya Ciliv suggested that the company would seek to make at least one strategic acquisition in Eastern Europe in the near future. Reports from the state news agency in Belarus, BelTA, indicate that the Turkey-based mobile operator is negotiating access to the Belarussian mobile phone market.
