Telekom Slovenije Sale Aborted, 2007 Results Disclosed

The government of Slovenia has been advised by the Privatisation Commission that it should abort the privatisation of incumbent telecoms operator Telekom Slovenije as, after weeks of negotiations, the two candidates for the sale of a 49.13% stake in the operator have failed to improve their offers to an acceptable level. The two remaining bidders for the stake are Skipti of Iceland and a consortium headed by Bain Capital and Axos Capital.
