Zain Saudi Awards Motorola US$335mn 2G/3G Contract
March 2008 | Contract NewsMotorola has been awarded a US$335mn turnkey contract to deploy and manage a 2G/3G mobile telecommunications network for Zain Saudi. Motorola will supply its GSM/HSxPA network solutions as well as comprehensive managed services for network design, integration, deployment, operations and maintenance. Network deployment is expected to commence in March to enable Zain Saudi to launch its new network in Q208 and to allow its customers to utilise high-speed mobile internet access and a range of mobile multimedia applications and services.
