Virgin Media Q407 Results, Subscriptions Up

The UK's second largest broadband operator, Virgin Media, has announced its 2007 results, with 272,000 subscribers added across its operations. The company's losses in Q407 were GBP163mn, up from GBP122mn in Q406, although losses for the year fell to GBP464mn from GBP509mn in 2006. All areas of the business saw growth in Q4, with Virgin Media claiming 4.135mn fixed-line subscribers and 3.7mn broadband subscribers, and reporting that monthly churn rates had fallen to 1.4% in December 2007 from 1.7% in 2006.
