Enforta Chooses Airspan WiMAX Solutions

Airspan Networks, a US-based provider of WiMAX-based broadband wireless access networks, has been chosen by Enforta to supply it with MicroMAX base stations and related customer premises equipment as part of its Russian WiMAX network rollout project. The value of the contract was not disclosed, but Airspan said that Enforta would use the equipment to offer internet access and virtual area network solutions to its growing customer base. This contract marks the first time that Enforta has used Airspan equipment in its network. Previously, the company has sourced WiMAX and related wireless technology from Alvarion of Israel and Russia's Infinet Wireless.
