Argentina To See WiMAX For Residential Market

Telmex Internacional's operations in Argentina has announced that it will target the residential market by offering WiMAX services. The operator stuck a deal to take over local ISP Ertach in June 2007 and intends to launch WiMAX services using spectrum in the 3.5GHz band owned by Ertach. Telmex will launch WiMAX services within two to three months of the completion of the takeover, according to the company's wireless technologies manager, Maximiliano Maresca.
