KT Reports Straight Fourth Quarter Loss

KT Corp, South Korea's leading fixed-line operator, has witnessed its fourth consecutive quarterly fall in net profits. The operator's Q407 net profit declined 30% to KRW114.8bn (US$121mn) from KRW164mn in the previous year, while sales rose by 3.4% y-o-y to KRW3.02trn. The operator had been projected to post fourth-quarter net profits of KRW118bn on revenues of KRW2.97trn, according to Bloomberg estimates.
