SK Telecom Seen As Preferred Bidder For Hanaro Telecom
November 2007 | Company Finance AlertSK Telecom, South Korea's largest mobile operator after denying any interest in acquiring a controlling stake in broadband internet provider Hanaro Telecom, has won exclusive negotiating rights. The mobile operator had denied interest in acquiring a 39% stake owned by the AIG and Newbridge shareholder group, stating that it was seeking to combine internet portal SK Communications with affiliate Empas Corp.
