Tata Communications Rebrand For Telecoms Units

India's Tata Group has announced that it will integrate its growing telecommunications units into a single brand. VSNL, VSNL International, Teleglobe, VGSL, Tata Indicom Enterprise Business Unit and Cipris will be integrated into Tata Communications as of February 2008. The announcement was made by senior vice-president of corporate strategy at the newly named unit, Srinivasa Addepalli, who pointed out that the new brand will support 35 global internet products including relationships with most of the largest companies in the US. The new unit also announced that it has set aside US$2bn for global expansion over the next three years.
