TeliaSonera 2007 Boosted by Raised CEE Profile

TeliaSonera of Sweden has announced its financial and operating results for the fourth quarter and the whole of 2007. The company's consolidated annual net revenues grew by 5.8% y-o-y to EUR96.3bn, while Q4 revenues grew by 7.5% on an annualised basis. However, consolidated annual EBITDA (excluding non-recurring items) fell by 3.9% y-o-y and Q4 EBITDA fell by a marked 7.2% y-o-y. EBITDA was impacted by a change in the company's product mix and related growth investments, especially in mobility and IP-based services. However, the company's net profits for 2007 amounted to EUR20.3bn, representing a 5.3% improvement y-o-y. Q4 net profit amounted to EUR5.2bn in 2007; this was a 14.8% increase over the EUR4.5bn recorded in Q406.
