Oman To Sell 30% Of Omantel

The Government of Oman is considering the sale of up to 30% of Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) to a strategic investor. The sale could take place as early as September 2008. An article published by Reuters quotes a senior government official as saying that a financial advisor will be appointed in Q108 as the first stage in selecting a long-term partner for the state-owned incumbent operator.
