TeliaSonera Considers Future Of Spanish Unit

Spain's smallest mobile operator, Yoigo, may pull out of the market as its parent company, Sweden's TeliaSonera, 'does not see the logic of it [the venture]'. Swedish business newspaper Dagens Industri cited sources close to the company as saying that new CEO Lars Nyberg was not convinced by his predecessor's venture into the Spanish mobile market, where Yoigo has a 0.5% share of the market. Yoigo's owner Xfera Móviles was acquired by TeliaSonera in early 2006, subsequently launching services in December 2006.
