Economic Conditions Take Toll On Zimbabwe Operator

n a stark illustration of Zimbabwe's economic woes, the country's leading mobile operator has banned all its prepaid customers from making international calls, due to a shortage of foreign currency. The ban, which has immediate effect, will affect all subscribers to Econet Wireless's 'Libertie' and 'Buddie' prepaid packages. Only subscribers to the postpaid 'Business Partna' package, aimed at corporate clients, will still be able to make calls abroad.
