China Mobile Profits From Continued Subscriber Growth

Growth of 5% in the number of China Mobile 's subscribers since the end of 2006 has helped the operator record a 22% y-o-y rise in its net profit for the first three months of 2007. The world's largest operator by number of customers has just over 316mn subscribers, accounting for nearly 15mn net additions over the first quarter. No sign of a slowdown there.
