TPSA Fined Over Internet Service Changes

Poland's largest telecoms operator, incumbent TPSA has been fined PLN600,000 by the country's telecoms regulator (UKE) for changing the terms of its internet service offer and lowering its prices without permission. Earlier this month, TPSA was fined PLN200,000 for failing to notify the regulator of changes to its prices for fixed-line voice calls. The operator is also facing another potential fine, which this time could reach as much as PLN356mn, for what the UKE deems 'excessive fees', charged to customers who subscribed to the operator's internet service without taking TPSA's fixed-line voice services.
