Private Equity Eyes BTC Stake
February 2007 | Company News AlertAs predicted by BMI earlier this year, a controlling stake in Bulgaria's incumbent operator BTC is up for grabs. We reported in January that Icelandic businessman Thor Bjorgolfsson was planning to sell his call option on Viva Ventures, the holding company that currently controls 65% of BTC. It now appears that Bjorgolfsson has put his plans into action, with bids being accepted until the end of April.
