du Could See New Threat Of Third Operator
February 2007 | Industry NewsTalk over the UAE welcoming a third mobile operator just a day ahead of the commercial launch of its second mobile operator du on February 11, 2007, has been met with caution. According to Emirates Today, an official at the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) said that a new company was being established, which would offer 'stiff competition' to both Etisalat and du, while the UAE's telecoms regulator stated that the possibility had not been ruled out.
