Small Beginnings, Big Dreams For Quad-Play in Bahrain
February 2007 | Product LaunchNuetel Communications has become the first telecoms operator in Bahrain to announce the launch of quad-play services of voice, video, internet and MPLS-based IP VPN. The launch of the services, directed at the corporate and residential sectors, will support the Kingdom's standing as retaining one of the most forward moving telecoms industries in the region, while also supporting continued efforts on the part of operators and regulators to enhance the country's broadband standing. Although tariffs for the service have not been disclosed at this time, Nuetel stated that for the residential sector in particular it would increase service variety and lower costs. Reduced pricing will certainly have been passed down from cost savings made as a result of shared economies of scale, often the result of converged services.
