Going For Growth, Partner Takes Up Fixed-Line
January 2007 | Company News AlertIsrael-based Partner Communications, which offers mobile services under the brand name of Orange has been awarded a 20-year domestic fixed-line licence by the Ministry of Communications. As the country's No2 operator, with a market share of 32.3%, the company has been seeking ways to gain a greater foothold in the telecoms industry. Partner currently owns a 40% stake in Matav Cable Systems, a company offering cable TV, telephony, data and internet services. The addition of a fixed-line licence will enable Partner to offer bundled services of voice, mobile and internet.
