Turkcell Sees Strong Net Additions In Q406

Turkcell , Turkey's leading mobile operator reported strong subscriber growth for the final quarter of 2006, with 1mn net additions bringing its overall user base to 31.8mn users. Although Q406 is traditionally viewed in the country as one of the slowest quarters of the year, due to seasonality and the month long period of Ramadan, Turkcell's subscriber base grew at roughly the same rate as in the first three quarters of the year, with some 2.9mn net additions.
