ETB On Board For Triple-Play War

Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogotá (ETB), the Colombian fixed-line operator has finally committed itself to the deployment of triple-play services. The decision taken by ETB follows growing competitive pressure from regional giants Telefonica and Telmex, which have already sought to offer triple-play services in the country. Concerns that ETB could lag behind its rivals have forced the operator to invest US$50mn in the deployment of IPTV services, complementing its existing fixed-line and internet services.
