Telekom Serbia Ramping Up Its Operations

BMI has highlighted numerous times the growing investor interest in south-eastern Europe and the Balkan region. Telekom Austria and Greece's OTE in particular have seen the region as an exciting investment opportunity, thanks mainly to its relatively low mobile penetration rates. Norway's Telenor has also taken an interest, this year adding Serbia's Mobi 63 to its international portfolio, which already includes Montenegrin operator Promonte. However, these large European investors are now facing competition from a local operator: Telekom Serbia.
