UK Operators Slammed For Trying To Recoup 3G Costs
November 2006 | Industry NewsThe European Commission has claimed that British mobile users are being overcharged for calls because UK operators are trying to recoup the huge cost of investing in 3G networks. The Commission, the executive arm of the 25-member European Union, called on November 27 for the UK telecoms regulator to seriously rethink its support for the current level of call termination charges. Operators currently add the equivalent of EUR0.016 per minute onto the cost of making a voice call, with 3G-only operator Hutchison 3G adding
