Slim Expresses Interest In Peruvian Rural Telephony Project

Carlos Slim, the Mexican telecoms magnate and owner of pan-American mobile operator America Movil could be interested in investing in Peru's rural telephony project. It has been reported in local press reports that representatives of Slim's fixed-line and mobile interests met with the country's Transport and Communications Minister Veronica Zavala to discuss the matter.
