Only last week, Etisalat received a warning from the UAE's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) for its "anti-competitive behaviour" as the operator issued a series of aggressive promotional campaigns ahead of the launch of du's services. du is targeting commercial deployment before the end of the year and is currently testing out a series of next-generation technologies as it seeks to rival Etisalat's dominance.
