Virtually every country across the region is home to at least one of T-Mobile, Orange or Vodafone. However, the big European operators have conspicuously failed to take control of the most lucrative market of them all - Russia. This vast country is one of very few in Eastern Europe where domestic companies dominate the telecoms industry.
