Bell Mobility & TELUS Continue With 3G Network Roll Out

With Canadian mobile operators seeking to raise their blended ARPU, one of the lowest in the developed markets, operators Bell Mobility and TELUS have announced the expansion of their existing EV-DO networks. As of Q4 2005, Bell Mobility stated that it had a blended ARPU of CAD51, up by just CAD1 y-o-y, while TELUS had a blended ARPU of CAD63, up by CAD2 y-o-y. In comparison, mobile operators such as the UK's O2 had an ARPU of GBP271 (CAD538) over Q3 2005 (latest results). Part of the reason behind this huge disparity in ARPU is down to the late introduction
