In Bulgaria, penetration currently stands at around 75%, leaving room for further growth. Indeed, BMI estimates that this figure will rise steadily over the next few years, reaching around 94% by 2010. The regulator awarded 3G licences to three operators in 2005 and Mobiltel has indicated that it is planning to launch services by the end of H1 2006. In Croatia, penetration is currently higher, at around 83%, and should approach 95% by the end of the decade. Vipnet controls around 44% of the Croatian market, behind market leader T-Mobile's 52%.
