STC Kicks Off 3G Service Deployment
May 2006 | Project NewsLeading Saudi operator Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has launched its 3G services, following the completion of its trial service in 2005, beginning with the Kingdom's first 3G call being made by the Governor of Jeddah. The announcement comes ahead of expectations that services would be made commercially available to users in Q406.
