Middle Eastern Operators Seek Out Africa's Land Of Opportunities

The UAE's mobile market has the highest penetration rates in the country, with BMI forecasting a rate of 109% by the end of this year, against Kuwait with 105% and Bahrain with 103%, while Saudi Arabia and Oman are expected to attain rates of 66% and 63% respectively. Moreover, a closer look at these countries shows that annual growth is expected to have slowed in 2006, with Kuwait expecting annual growth of 4% and Bahrain, just slightly higher with growth of 5%.
